Throughout the many years of growing my business, I’ve seen Coaches, Consultants and Service Providers struggle and struggle…to live a life of complete and total FREEDOM.
And it still surprises me that…
Those who are struggling to hit their Freedom Number (that number where we are feeling like we are pretty much set and can live the life we want)…
Are making the SAME few mistakes.
I recognize them immediately because they’re the same 3 mistakes I made when I was first starting out. And continued to make for quite a while.
And if you’re not currently making at least $20k–$30k months in your coaching or service provider business in a way that FEELS GOOD…
more than likely, it’s because you’re committing one or more of these classic mistakes.
But here’s the good news.
I’m going to tell you exactly WHAT they are, and what to do INSTEAD!
Mistake #1 – Trying to fill low‐ticket courses or low priced offers
The low ticket offers are something you should focus on AFTER you hit your Freedom Number, and when looking to scale your growth in a serious way.
NOT before then. You need a foundation of high‐ticket clients who know and love you first and who are raving fans. And who create a wave of people who are clamoring to work with you.
The low ticket is not worth it before the high ticket. And the amount of work and energy that it takes to sell a low ticket offer is the same as the amount to sell a high ticket offer.
Also, the lower ticket will not sustain a media budget (if/when you want to run ads) unless you are using it to drive interest to your high ticket offer. And you will have a good budget at that point if you have already built a good number of clients for your high ticket offers.
So to recap: the low offers come after you have validated your higher ticket offer.
Mistake #2 – Holding onto a fear of human conversations and connection
Your market and avatar are CRAVING a connection with you.
They want to buy from a human being they know can help them—before they see any glimpse of a landing page or Facebook or Linkedin ad.
They want to be in contact and have interaction with you. They want to SEE you and get that human attention and help. This is at a premium right now. They want someone to listen to them. And to help them. And to have conversations with.
This is very important. If you are fearful of speaking to people in any way, this needs to be addressed. And you need to conquer this. There is money behind this fear.
This is Organic Marketing.
It’s important because this is the first step and sometimes only step… to those big earnings per month. They are gained through a robust and strategic Organic Marketing strategy – on Facebook and on Linked in. This is the most direct and personable way of marketing. It’s conversational marketing. And if you get good at this, that is where the GOLD is.
(Facebook ads come after your offer is validated with Organic Marketing. And will be like steroids for your offer, at that point. If used prematurely, they are like throwing money down the drain. A dangerous situation.)
Mistake #3 – Not charging enough
Here’s the thing.
By charging higher rates, you can show up for your clients in ways you can’t right now. No two ways about it.
You can put your full effort into helping them get life‐changing results. Not lukewarm results because you are so stressed out running around trying to make ends meet, running yourself ragged, working for way too little.
If you don’t own your value, your clients won’t either.
And, the bonus is that if it suits you, you can give back to causes that are dear to you…and create even more impact above and beyond helping your clients.
So your clients know that your business stands for making the world a better place (if it’s authentic and not just for show- they will feel it if so!)
But this is only possible if you charge what you are worth.
So, take a good, honest, and fearless look at the way you’re running your business right now…
