Why Undercover Blogger?

When I first started blogging, I was working full-time in a professional job (outside teaching) and going through a messy divorce. I didn’t want anybody to know what I was doing. I wanted to earn some extra money and knew that incredible things were possible with the Internet, but I didn’t want to be “the face” of something I’d created publicly. I wanted to be anonymous. I knew I could do it. I believed in myself and really didn’t need my family and friends telling me that they thought it was a daft idea and that it wouldn’t work. I wanted to achieve it first and then tell them. Yes, I was nervous. No, I didn’t know what I was doing. It was all new to me, and I wish I’d had someone or, better still, a supportive community, that I could talk to about my setbacks and progress and take motivation from.
