If you’re anything like me, at one time or another you’ve questioned your sanity.

The kids have you wanting to pull your hair out because you’ve asked them to do something for the 100th time. You feel unappreciated with everything you do for the family. You’re working so many hours in your business but not making money.

Whatever it might be, you feel that you are out on a limb and questioning why you bother.

The problem is, if you are doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, that’s what they call insanity.

Take a moment now and ask yourself, what is it you need to do differently?

What can you change to reduce overwhelm, anxiety, stress or frustration in your life?

Personal Growth!

You see if you are not learning, you are not growing. If you’re not growing, then you will stay the same.

You’ve heard the quote, “if nothing changes, nothing changes, if you desire change, change what you are doing.”

From my experience and working with clients there are two excuses that prevent taking action for personal growth.

Time and money!

Time

Have you ever said “but I don’t have time!”

With life being busy, juggling kids and work, activities and appointments, time with your kids, partner and time for yourself, the excuse of not having time is a fail-safe, but not a legitimate one.

Making time to create change through personal growth in actually not about time, it’s about priority.

If you want something bad enough, you will make it a priority.

Money

The financial stress that some families find themselves under, on paper, is quite legitimate.

The reality though, is in the mindset around money.

As a single mum, waiting for financial settlement, every decision – and I mean EVERY decision and nearly EVERY conversation with my boys was around whether I could afford or not afford to buy something.

My money mindset was one of scarcity.

The more I thought about the money I didn’t have, the less I had, and the more anxious I became.

When I made the choice to stop focusing on the money I didn’t have, it created energy for more to come to me.

That was when I invested in personal development.

What can you do?

Implement the following 5 Steps To Change Your Life and Business

1. Stop listening to the news and turn off the TV

Seriously, this is the key to personal growth. This sucks you into the vortex of negativity that creates fear and closes you off to positive growth.

Oh, and it actually gets you back hours in the day and eliminates the “I don’t have time” excuse. Ask yourself, how many hours a day do you sit in front of the tv and then share with friends and family about the drama of it?

2. Read
Yes, read personal development books. If you don’t read, then listen to audio books you exercise or wait for kids. Learning and personal growth is all wrapped up together. The key is not to overload yourself; it is to implement what you learn.

3. Say YES to Investing in Learning!

Jumping on free webinars, Facebook Challenges and eBooks can only take you so far. If you learn only through free content, via the law of attraction, you will attract customers and clients who do the same.

Having a business plan that sets out your growth requirements will allow you to be strategic about investing, yes money, in what to learn for the next phase of your business.

4. Friend Up – you are the sum of the five people you spend time with
If your friends are not living the life you want or are not in the position financially you desire, then friend up.

Surround yourself with the people who are where you want to be. Attend networking events. Source out networks of women who are living the lifestyle you desire – they may or may not be step mum’s.

5. Invest In YOU – Hire A Coach or Mentor. Whether you know it or not, you have limits in many areas of your life that are associated with the belief system that you have developed throughout your life.

A coach or mentor can see things that you are unable to. Working through these limits with a mentor or coach will open up the dreams you thought would never be possible.

Make A Decision

The key to personal growth is making a decision to start.
