I was there three years ago. Have you noticed that lately, those hopes and dreams you’ve had years ago are creeping to the forefront of your mind?

Is your life where you want it to be? Are there hopes and dreams you have been sitting on for a while, perhaps days, months, years? Fantastic! You are reading the right article at the right time.

The great news is that I am not there now, and you don’t have to be either. There were three most important factors that allowed to build my profit-producing, purpose-driven business, all while still completing my full-time 9-5 job duties and writing my bestselling book. With these same three factors, you can accomplish your goals and move forward into your fullest potential.

Three top factors you need to “Embrace Your Now”:

1) Openness to change. Some may call this a solution-oriented mindset, flexibility, or adaptability.

When launching your vision whether it be starting a business, releasing your novel, or starting a new career, it changes your life.

What any entrepreneur can guarantee you is that you will face unexpected twists and turns. How open are you to change?

You may already have evidence in your life of being open to change. Like perhaps a viral virus in 2020 pandemic. Perhaps, you started that new job a few years or months ago. All of that was change, and all of that brought you to now. Congrats! You are at least a third of the way there to unlocking your inner solopreneur.

2) Determination to push through and set up, launch multiple times, and scale this business. Not A business, THIS one. Yes, the one you are thinking about right now as you read this.

Determination is your fuel for now and forever. Without this fuel, there will be no fire. I did not have to set an alarm to wake up an hour earlier than usual. Why? Because the determination, that fire fueled within me woke my mind up an hour earlier than normal without an alarm.

Yes, you have an idea that could positively impact at least a thousand people. And now, you know what you need to do. Yet, you are not doing it. For most people whose dreams are still in their mind or whose visions are written down in a journal lost in a closet somewhere, determination is what keeps them from pushing forward past complacency and towards the significant change.

Determination is the beginning of building your profit-producing, purpose-driven business, and the lack of determination will be the end.

3) google.com. You may also call this a willingness to learn and acquire knowledge. Seems obvious, but one of your concerns may be “I don’t know enough”.

Here is a fact for you: What you don’t know, google.com knows for you. If you do not have internet at home or on your phone, then visit your local library. If you don’t have a library you can get to, ask your friend if you can come visit them and use their internet.

On a Sunday years ago, I woke up with the determination to launch two ideas (yes, two, because why not). When I googled “I’m ready to start a business”, there were sites galore, advice to the same treasure map (what are you selling, decide on a name, check that your business name doesn’t already exist, register your business, build a website or any online presence). Who knows, one day, this article may be one of the top five links to show up. Then I asked myself, how does one check that a business name doesn’t exist. Guess what I did next. That’s right! I typed into google.com. Sounds like a simple process, right? That is because it is. Think, type, takeoff.

Openness to change, Determination, and Google.com.

“But Vanessa, it is so much more difficult than that.”

My response, “And…”

“Well, you know. All that other stuff. It’s hard”

If you have not had to do anything difficult in your life, let’s take a moment to celebrate your blessings. Graduating university was effortless, getting a job out of college must have been seamless, or what about those promotions during the last 10 years, effortless and seamless wrapped into one. Take a moment to applaud your blessings.

[Insert a moment]

For everyone else who is part of the billions (not a typo) of people in the world who have encountered difficulty in their life, ask yourself:
• Are you open to change?
• Are you determined to launch this vision?
• Are you comfortable using google.combing.com, or any other search tool?

If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, then my next question to you is:

Why not you? Why not your vision? Why not now?
