Protect your peace. Remove the violent space from your mind. Learn to love yourself through your trauma. Let your reflection be evidence of love you pour into yourself!

I’ve spent years giving you pieces of me…trying to fix what was broken in you…on your behalf. Trying to heal you from your wounds and damages. Dodging anger in you unleashed on me due to your insecurities.

Healing your trauma from low self-esteem. While you spent years gaslighting me. I’ve spent years giving you pieces of me because I thought that’s what love was.

But now, I’m shattered and I’m wounded and the pieces of me I really need are long gone, wasted on your selfishness always asking but never giving anything in return.

I don’t blame you… I blame myself. You see, you told me who you were…but I saw, what I wanted to see. You kept giving me signs and reason to leave every time you gaslighted me.

Like.. every time, you made me the butt of your jokes. Like, every time you picked others over me; just to see if it would brake me. Like, every time, you convinced me I didn’t see what I knew I was meant to see.

I’ve spent years giving you pieces of me. Pieces that I now need and you can’t even bother to give back.

Pieces that you should be rushing to my side trying to mend these open wounds. Pieces that never belong to you!

You gaslight. I’m gaslit. So burnt out that I quit. I’ve spent years giving you pieces of me, now I have nothing left to give.

Lesson Learned: Be intentional with who you give pieces of you to. Your presence is a blessing and your time is expensive!

We’ve all experienced some form of relationship when others have taken us for granted. Always remember, you can’t fix what you didn’t break. See people for who they are not what you want them to be.

14 months ago, I was on a respirator and the doctors told my family it was possible I wouldn’t make it through the night. I survived but it took several months for me to be able to stand or even say my name. Throughout the struggle to gain my strength back, I wrote 3 books and began to share my story with others. This has been a fulfillment like none other before. I will soon need a double lung transplant but while I am strong enough to talk, I want to reach as many people as possible. Once I reconditioned my mindset to think positively everything in my life started to change. I want to share and create that experience for others and your platform will support me in doing so.
