Female entrepreneurs should avoid paying upfront for a business coach for female entrepreneurs because you need to be careful to avoid scams or get pulled into a program that doesn’t suit them.

According to Forbes, “Effective coaching absolutely has the ability to transform your business, but sadly, most business coaching has devolved into half-baked entrepreneur therapy sessions.”

There are over 53,000 business coaches out there (In the US), as totaled by the International Coach Federation. So, if you want to find the right one for you, you’ll need to do some verifying.

Here’s some advice to help you find the right business coach for you.

Avoid Scams
Female entrepreneurs should never pay someone who promises you what you want to hear. They will trick you into believing a lie about making money quickly. It is never as easy as they make you believe it is to earn and make a lot of money.

And when you have paid them your last dollar/euro and their service does not work for you, you could be forced to quit your business and give up on your dream.

Things to Check for in a Business Coach
Before paying for a business coach for female entrepreneurs, check off that they fit the following list, from my experience and advice at Inc.com:

They need to prove themselves to you, regardless of the testimonials they have.
They need to have some kind of warranty or refund policy.
You need to find out if there is a good match between the two of you, like if you have similar values or mindsets.
You need to be able to make money with their tips so you can afford to continue paying them.
They need to hold you accountable.
Find someone who will also admit their failures.
They need to be trustworthy and objective.
They need to be able to give it to you straight.
They need to lead by example and have experience in what they are teaching.

What do I do as a Female Entrepreneur Coach?
I never ask for all the money upfront for my coaching for female entrepreneurs. Instead, I offer installments and for six-month contracts, I allow monthly payments.

In my entire career as a business coach for female entrepreneurs, I have only had two times that women wanted to quit, and I let them. I did not want to continue working with them either because they were not willing to put in the work required.

I speak to too many women who have paid their last earned money to a business coach and their business is still not a success.
It is a collaboration between 2 people when you work one-on-one with a business coach, So why should the business coach not take some risk as well?

And that this business coach, make sure you make money in the first 2 months so that paying the monthly installments is not a problem for you as their client anymore.

If they don’t agree on that. Find another one. As you have seen you have enough choice to find someone else.
The number of 53.000 is only of those coaches who joined the federation. It is my guess that most did not even join.

Most of what I do is one-on-one because then I can create a unique approach for each client.

Have Questions About a Female Entrepreneur Coach? Ask Me!
It’s okay to have questions about a female entrepreneur coach. In fact, I’ve compiled 20 questions you should ask a business coach for women, like myself, before you decide to work with them. Check them out before you work with a business coach.

It really saddens me that I speak to so many women who have spent their last money on a very expensive business coach for women and they did not get the results they needed. They cannot afford to work with anyone else because they have no money left.
